“Jess provided support and understanding of the needs in my own journey through developing a relationship and blending that with education about the effect manipulating macronutrients has on weight loss, toning, and overall confidence. “I was browsing the SoulCycle
blog a few months ago when I came across Jess’s article about her eating history and life style. A lot of what she wrote about resonated with me and brought me to her website. I felt like we had a lot in common and I had been struggling with a lot of eating issues for over ten years and decided to reach out to Jess to help me to lead a healthier lifestyle. I was so crazily structured in what I ate every day, the time I ate, and how much I ate. I had my “safe” foods and would never deviate
, although I would also sit down at a restaurant and look at a menu and wish that I could order something other than a salad, but mentally knew I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I strayed from my routines. I also was crazy over exercising, but felt I had nothing to show for it.
I have been a compulsive exerciser since high school, but hardly had any muscle tone because I was depriving my body of so many important nutrients. Another reason I decided it was time to make a chance was because my husband and I decided we were ready to start a family, but it was difficult for me to get pregnant. I knew it was time for me to get healthy.
Jess taught me to relax around food, to try new things, and slowly change my exercise patterns. We added new things, very slowly and I started to notice a difference in how I felt and looked. I kept telling her that I did not want to have to buy new pants because my old ones were tight. She convinced me that if I trusted her guidance, that would not happen. I can now happily and comfortably say, that I am exercising more efficiently, eating so much more food, and truly feel so much better. I also did not have to buy new pants yet- I am saving that for when it is time to buy maternity clothes! I can also proudly boast that I have had a cheeseburger (no bun!) for the past 3 Sundays in a row – something I thought I would never ever do again.
